Responsibility
You are ultimately responsible for how well you live with your amputation. There is simply
no way to duck the responsibility. Others, especially your health care team and your
family, can give guidance and encouragement but, in the end, it's all up to you. Taken from p. 29 of
[The Amputee's Guide To The Amputation And Recovery Processes]
The above relates to transportation differently for each of us; some of us can drive, some of us have caregivers who drive for us, some of us have friends or relatives who are glad to drive for us, some of us belong to churches or other organizations which have volunteers to drive for us, and some of us can use the services listed below.
Regardless of what works for you, you must be responsible for yourself. Accept the responsibility and become your own strongest advocate!
