How Do I pay for Modifications
Many Auto Manufacturers provide substantial financial assistance for adding adaptive driving equipment to a new purchase.
Here is a list of such assistance. They have not kept all of the links current, but it is still a good list of resources. Financial Assistance

What About Driving Classes?
A very good general article about modifying your vehicle and safely driving the modified vehicle is available on the website of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration

Financial assistance may be available. Veterans should check with the VA.

Before any company will modify your vehicle, you must take a Drivers' Evaluation class. Upon completion of that class, you will be given a report containing a variety of information. You should take that report to the company which will modify your vehicle. Here is at least a partial list of companies that perform the Drivers' Evaluation. Check details such as content of the class, duration of the class, cost, etc.
No significance should be attached to the order in which they are presented.
A physician's referral is normally required to participate in these classes.
